Great spaces are rarely built by one person. An architect, a contractor, a landscape architect and an interior designer can all have an interest in how a project is documented. Captured Spaces Studio support that with collaborative commissions designed to work around how your project team actually operates.

Option 1: Collaborative Commission

You lead the brief. We handle the rest.

Where you are the lead commissioner and other parties have an interest in the project, this model rewards you for bringing the shoot together. You shape the brief, you own the relationship with Captured Spaces Studio, and you receive a discount on the creative fee in recognition of that.

Each additional party, contractor, landscape architect, specialist trade, licences the content directly with Captured Spaces Studio under their own separate agreement. We approach them, we manage the paperwork, and we invoice them independently. You have no obligation to coordinate, chase or facilitate those conversations.

Additional parties have 30 days from gallery delivery to confirm their licence. Each party's cost comprises of two elements, a fixed production contribution, which covers their involvement in the shoot, and a post-shoot image licence based on how many images they wish to use. Both are agreed directly with Captured Spaces and invoiced separately.

Where additional parties do not licence within this window, the lead commissioner pays the remaining balance up to the original full package fee.

Full details of production contribution rates, image licence bands and the lead commissioner discount are set out in our packages document, available on request.

This model works well when:

  • You are the natural lead on the project and want to control the full brief

  • Other parties are interested but you do not want the admin of coordinating them or to delay the shoot

  • You want a tangible financial benefit for commissioning the shoot

Option 2: Traditional cost sharing

Share the brief. Share the fee.

Some practices prefer to agree a shared fee structure across all parties before the shoot takes place. Under this model, all parties are identified upfront, the creative fee is agreed collectively, and one party takes responsibility for the single invoice to Captured Spaces.

How the fee is divided between parties is entirely a matter for the project team Captured Spaces Studio invoices one party only and has no involvement in any internal cost-sharing arrangement.

Each party contributes to the brief and receives their own licence as part of the arrangement.

This is the model most familiar to practices who have commissioned collaborative photography before. If this is how your team prefers to work, we are happy to structure the commission this way.

This model works well when:

  • All parties are confirmed and committed before booking

  • The team has an existing relationship and is comfortable agreeing costs internally

  • There is an established working relationship between all parties
